267 Comorbidities among children with hidradenitis suppurativa

Comorbidities among adults with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) have been extensively explored, but there is limited data regarding comorbidities children HS. The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence pediatric patients HS using an aggregated, de-identified patient database. Pediatric (<18 years old) were identified in Explorys, a cloud-based electronic health record database composed over 360 hospitals. between 5 and <18 old used as controls, all ≥5 old. Of 8,856,840 identified, 1,590 had diagnosis most common obesity (29.56%, OR 27.31, 95%CI 24.52-30.42, p<0.0001), asthma (27.67%, 4.04, 3.62-4.51, contact dermatitis (25.16%, 3.63, 3.24-4.06, acne vulgaris (15.09%, 26.36, 22.97-30.25, seasonal allergic rhinitis (15.72%, 5.49, 4.80-6.28, atopic (14.47%, 5.44, 4.73-6.26, acanthosis nigrans (12.58%, 63.53, 54.74-73.73, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (11.32%, 3.21, 2.74-3.74, major depressive (10.06%, 16.70, 14.18-19.66, verruca (9.43%, 5.37, 4.54-6.35, p<0.0001). Children also more likely hyperlipidemia (5.66%, 13.82, 11.17-17.10, essential hypertension (3.14%, 13.43, 10.13-17.81, metabolic syndrome 64.29, 48.43-85.33, generalized anxiety (4.40%, 9.34, 7.35-11.87, These findings suggest are certain dermatologic, inflammatory, metabolic, psychiatric conditions.
